Newsies/ I'll be going MIA for a while.
My dearest Readers,
I must inform you that over the next week you will likely not be hearing from me. Because it's reading break, which means myself and all the other Canadian University Students run free, drinking alcohol and dancing on tables. 90% of us Students will look like this throughout the week: Thanks of course to Tequila.
Before I abandon you all, I'd like to make a quick Newsies post. We have important things to catch up on, of course.
1.) My favorite Hockey team has actually been doing quite well and whenever a game is on I look like this:
![]() |
I LOVE YOU SO FUCKING MUCH! |
2.) Tim Roth informed us via Twitter that he has been nominated for an Academy Award. Meanwhile, all Tim Roth fans weep from happiness and start saving up for fancy champagne to drink when he wins. Way to go, Rothy! ♥
3.) So last Thursday I mentioned that horrendous answer I put on my film test. For those of you who have not read that post, I recommend you educate yourselves. Here is a Link for your Convenience. For those of you who did read the post, you are well aware of the idiotic things I wrote. Well guess what, folks? Today I got the test back. And I didn't die/ get expelled/ fail. I wrote:
"These questions make me want to rip my hair out of my own head. Or gauge my eyes out with a plastic spoon. etc."
and my TA wrote me a note back. Saying something along these lines:
"I am very sorry to hear that. I understand the first question was difficult. Anyways, I'm sure you'll do better next time."
![]() |
It's because I'm cute. |
Well, then. That went better than expected! Thank you, Mr. TA for saving my buns from almost certain doom. I like you.
Now, it's a bagillion hours past my bedtime and I need to catch up on sleep before Tequila Week Reading Break. I hope you all you Canadian University peeps have an enjoyable break, and I hope all the rest of you have a good week. May muffins and smoothies be in your future.

How I expect my reading break to go:
Step 1: Tequila:
Step 2: Dancing
![]() |
(exactly like this). |
Step 3: More tequila.
Step 4: Thinking I'm all fly like this:
Though I'm actually like this:
Step 5: More tequila
Step 9: Do something stupid that will likely result in injury
And Repeat.
Yeah Buddy!

Day 6 - A Film That Reminds You of Somewhere
So I suppose we should get back to the 30 day challenge, yes? Alright. Well today's topic is "A film that reminds you of somewhere". The only movie that comes to mind is Under The Tuscan Sun. I happen to be a little bit of a globe trotter, and a number of summers ago I spent a week in Italy. I swear, I was the only Canadian Puck Bunny in all of Tuscany.

Right. So Under The Tuscan Sun is a beautiful movie starring Diane Lane as Frances, a recently divorced writer that takes off to Italy on a spontaneous trip that turns out to be a life changing experience. This movie is quirky, charming, and absolutely beautiful. A few places featured in the film are actually places I visited myself when I was in Italy. Example: San Gimignano.
I highly recommend this movie. Although it is a bit "chick flick-y", it is a very enjoyable film. It is esthetically pleasing, and the characters are lovable and realistic.
I think everyone should do themselves a favor and watch this movie. In my humble opinion, it never gets old and its just as beautiful each time I watch it. It reminds me vividly of Italy, and while watching this film I swear you can almost feel the warm Italian sun on your face.

Sexy Saturday: Joseph Gordon-Levitt
So it's my Best Friend's birthday coming up and she had a special request for this week's Sexy Saturday. Of course I was willing to comply, and I know that a lot of you will agree that this week's SS is pretty darn cute! Ladies and Gents, I present to you:
Oh yeah, he's great.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt!
Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt as if his name wasn't already long enough... was born on February 17th, 1981 (Hey, his Birthday is coming up!) in LA. Fun Fact: His Family is Jewish.
![]() |
Happy Hanukkah, girl. |
Way back in the day, Levitt got his start doing commercials for Peanut Butter and Pop-Tarts. Really, and just when we thought those two things couldn't have possibly gotten any better!Though Levitt's acting really took of when he played Tommy Solomon in the hilarious TV show Third Rock From The Sun. That show is actually really hilarious, and Levitt's acting was awesome. My dad and I watch the show every Tuesday night, as TRFTS is the best way to end your day. I have included part one of one of the episodes, for your viewing pleasure:
Yes, that short little guy with the long hair is in fact Joseph Gordon-OMG your name is so annoying to type out- Levitt.

The information officer. |
But of course we all know and recognize Levitt as the sexy/cute character he played in Inception. Ohhhh Arthur...!
If you are a straight female and you watched Inception, you know you wanted in Levitt's pants. If not, you had better start questioning your sexuality. Because seriously, ladies. This guy was the perfect hybrid between hot + cute and if you do the math you know that = sexy. In the movie Levitt played a smarty pants, and he happens to be a smart cookie in real life aswell. He attended Columbia University, where he studied a whole swack of stuff, from history to French Poetry. That's right, Ladies.... he speaks French.
So now that you've all fainted/ squealed/ soiled your panties, let's talk about his filmography. Levitt has been in a number of movies, some of which include:
- A River Runs Through It
- Angels in the Outfield
- 10 Things I Hate About You
- Treasure Planet
- Brick
- (500) Days of Summer
- G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
- Inception
- 50/50
Oh yeah, he's great.

The only thing wrong with this photo is that his shirt is still on. |
So here you have it, readers. Joseph Gordon-Levitt as this week's Sexy Saturday (and as much as I hate to say it): Just in time for Valentine's Day.

Happy Birthday, Sharlto Copley!
Guess what, guys? Sexy Saturday alumnus Sharlto Copley turns 38 today!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
![]() |
Yes, this is him. No, you will never witness anything more adorable. |
So Sharlto Copley is the cutest ever.
But what else makes him awesome? Well everything about him is likable. Literally, everything. There is not one aspect of Mr. Copley that we don't adore here at the Cinema Club. Except maybe that he isn't in more movies.

For every problem there is a solution. |
But what is is about Sharlto Copley that we all adore so much? Everyone seems to agree that he is immensely talented, very funny, friendly, and just so freakin' cute.

<3 |
One of my favorite things about Mr. Copley is how interactive he is with his fans. If you visit his Facebook, you'll see that he is incredible friendly and interactive with his fans, often using fanart for his profile pictures, and commenting on things that people post on his page. How awesome is that? He shows us that one can be a talented, successful actor and still be a friendly approachable human being. Really Sharlto, kudos to you.
Top 3 Reasons why Today's Birthday Boy is Amazing:
- He possesses wells of talent. He gives us the tortured soul routine in District 9, then turns around and makes us all laugh out loud with his red carpet gags and his performance in A-Team.
- He is super friendly and interacts with his fans on a regular basis. Not only does he post behind the scenes photos of the movies he does, but he uses some his fan's artwork as his profile picture and comments on the rest.
- He is incredibly classy and proper. You never see him in trashy celebrity magazines and he's never been arrested.
So, Happy Birthday Sharlto Copley! You are amazing and talented and your fans all love you very much. Keep up the good work!

Mondays SUCK/ The Cinema Club's 2nd Sexiest Entry Ever
Mondays suck. They do. Lately I've been experiencing the most crazy whirlwind of emotions. The final result, after a week of this incomprehensible madness, I am left feeling anxious, a little bit sore, and (PREPARE FOR DRAMA) teetering on the brink of depression. Dun-dun-DUNN!

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY |
(Artwork by Liol)
Well, if you recall last Monday's entry, I came up with a solution to this problem. How does one cure a case of the Mondays? With hot men of course. So as a follow up to The Cinema Club's Sexiest Post Ever, I'd like to bring to you yet another disgustingly brilliant collage of gorgeous men in minimal clothing.
